Boomer Technology Group is developing MHCMS, a new software platform designed to help municipalities connect information, coordinate health and human services, and use AI-assisted insights to support better decision-making.

Helping Communities Work Better Together

Municipalities and public service agencies work hard to support their residents. From housing assistance and public health to transportation and social services, teams often need to coordinate information from multiple departments and systems.

But important information is often spread across different software platforms. This can make it difficult for staff to see the complete picture, identify potential problems early, and coordinate the right support.

At Boomer Technology Group (BTGSI), we believe technology should make public service work easier, not more complicated.

That is why we are developing the Municipality Health Case Management System (MHCMS), a platform designed to help municipalities manage cases, connect information, and use AI-assisted insights to support better decision-making.

What is MHCMS?

MHCMS is being designed to bring important case information and workflows together in one shared platform.

The platform is being developed around four key capabilities:

  • Connect existing information: Bring relevant information from existing systems into a more consistent view.
  • Organize and assess cases: Help staff bring case information together and identify situations that may need attention.
  • Support caseworkers: Give staff tools to enter information, review cases, and receive AI-assisted suggestions for follow-up actions.
  • Simplify reporting: Help prepare information for government reporting in the appropriate formats.

The goal is straightforward: help agencies spend less time navigating disconnected systems and more time supporting the people who depend on their services.

Why Does This Matter?

Consider a resident who may be experiencing housing instability while also needing access to health or other community services.

Different departments may hold pieces of information that could help staff understand the situation. When those systems do not work well together, recognizing a potential problem and coordinating a response can become more difficult.

MHCMS is being designed to help agencies bring relevant information together, identify cases that may warrant attention, and help staff determine appropriate next steps.

The platform is intended to support earlier intervention and better coordination — not replace the professional judgment of caseworkers or the decisions of public agencies.

Practical AI, With People in Control

Artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities for government and healthcare organizations. But AI is most useful when it addresses a real business problem.

For MHCMS, the planned role of AI is practical: assist with case assessment, highlight information that may need attention, and suggest follow-up tasks for staff to review.

The objective is not to automate every decision. It is to give caseworkers better tools to organize their work and focus on cases that need attention.

Security, access controls, and accountability are also important considerations in the platform's design, particularly because municipal health and human services can involve sensitive information.

Built With Reuse and Growth in Mind

MHCMS is being designed on Microsoft's technology platform, with a shared foundation intended to support data management, workflow automation, reporting, and AI-assisted capabilities.

This approach is intended to reduce unnecessary duplication and create a solution that can be adapted for different municipalities and agencies.

Each organization has its own existing systems, reporting requirements, operating procedures, and budget. Our goal is to build a flexible foundation that can accommodate those differences without starting from scratch every time.

What Comes Next?

MHCMS is currently in the design and development planning stage, with a target of advancing the product in 2027.

Boomer Technology Group is focused on defining the platform's core capabilities, evaluating implementation approaches, and developing a practical path toward a pilot with an appropriate municipal or public-sector partner.

As development progresses, we intend to refine the solution around real operational needs, including legacy data integration, case management, AI-assisted workflows, and government reporting.

About Boomer Technology Group

Boomer Technology Group (BTGSI) helps organizations improve how they operate through business process improvement, enterprise technology, Microsoft solutions, and practical automation.

Our philosophy is simple: Business Process + People + Technology = Custom Solutions.

We believe successful technology starts with understanding the people who use it, the processes they follow, and the outcomes the organization needs to achieve.

MHCMS reflects that philosophy by focusing on a practical challenge facing municipalities: helping teams work with connected information so they can better coordinate services and support their communities.
