A major Hospital in Ohio decommissioned their production Kronos system (version 7.0.18) in 2020. However, they are required to retain Human Resources and Payroll historical data for 7–10 years. The environment was migrated to a virtual machine with no internet access, used by HR and Payroll teams to run reports as needed. The system contains data for 10,000 employees spanning nine years of history.
Issue
A recent reboot of the virtual environment caused the system to stop allowing staff to access the HR/Payroll module functions and prevented them from running historical reports. The client relies on this system approximately 20 hours per month.
Resolution
